Martin Gillitt, 47
Martin started boxing in England at 18 and has been extremely passionate about the sport ever since. He has been a coach since 1996 and has since trained many fighters at different gyms (House of Champions, 805 Fitness, Golds Gym Thousand Oaks, Elite MMA). Martin founded Agoura Boxing and opened the gym in 2009.
Martin coaches the gym’s fight team and also teaches private sessions. He has an extensive background in boxing, trained in kickboxing under world champion Pete Cunningham, and practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). Martin won many boxing awards early in his career and even participated in trials for his county’s boxing team in 1989. He is the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization (CAMO) senior/lead inspector, a California State Athletic Commission Inspector (CSAC), and has a National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM) personal training certificate. Martin is also a BJJ blue belt under our very own, Timmy Bond-Street Sports BJJ Black Belt.
